Pathnostics is a fast-growing diagnostic solutions company specializing in cutting-edge diagnostic services to help physicians resolve diagnostic and therapeutic dilemmas. Due to the expanding growth, we are opening a new location in Lake Mary, FL, where we are seeking Accessioners to be part of this exciting launch!

Accessioning is the process of entering critical patient data, such as demographics and test orders, into our Laboratory Information System (LIS). Once data is entered, specimens are routed to the appropriate area of our laboratory for processing. Accessioners, donning full PPE, will triage COVID-19 and other specimen types, enter and review patient data, identify errors and collaborate with our wet lab and customer care teams to resolve any issues timely and efficiently.

Essential Job Duties:

• Verifying all samples and data received.
• Identifying/pursuing discrepancies in specimen info.
• Data entry and sample labeling.
• Quality control of each workflow step.
• Use of LIMS system to enter critical patient data.
• Run reports to track key quality metrics.
• Maintain laboratory safety standards.
• Organizes work area for optimal efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.

Strong Candidates Will Possess the Following Skills & Abilities:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent Typing and Data Entry Skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Great short-term memory, the ability to recall and comprehend new directives.
• Ability to adapt to changing procedures, policies and work environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions.

Available Shift: Tuesday – Saturday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Physical Demands: This position will require extensive use of a computer (mousing, keyboarding) and may involve sitting for extended periods of time.

Safety: Some risk of exposure to chemicals, biological substances, sharps and/or scientific instruments capable of causing bodily injury if used improperly. We comply with CalOSHA standards regarding Bloodborne pathogens, Safety Needle Act, Chemical Hygiene Plan in addition to maintaining robust safety & training programs.
