Job Description Summary: Business Title: Senior Director, Compliance Platforms Location: San Jose, US Job Description: The Senior Director of Engineering for Compliance Platforms is accountable for managing and interacting with business, product, and technical stakeholders within Compliance Platforms and across Merchant business unit, Consumer business unit, and Technology Platforms and Experiences teams. The ideal candidate is an Engineering Management leader with a strong platform-first mindset, has experience in regulatory compliance field, investigations, case management, developing secure, externalizable services at scale, and has a desire to utilize and engender engineering best practices within large, geographically distributed teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about building platforms at scale, cutting-edge technology, innovation, winning in the market and delivering on their commitments. You should have the technical expertise to lead software and architecture discussions and guide cross-functional product and engineering teams through functional definition, solution, and integration stages on large scale. They have a proven track record of leading and mentoring their teams to reach their highest potential. Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities * Drive a results-oriented culture with a strong focus on engineering excellence, execution, and craftmanship * Recruit, motivate, mentor, and lead the best engineering and management talent * Ability to lead complex discussions and engagements that involve multiple project teams from PayPal and our partner organizations * Build and scale platforms * Construct a business and technical architecture that levers industry standards and use cases to create operating efficiency * Provide strategic guidance and direction to development teams * Manage geographically distributed teams * Manage stakeholder planning and communications ensuring key product data outcomes * Anticipate and aggressively remove obstacles that slow down or prevent products and programs from delivering on product and program objectives.
