What we’re looking for:

• Experienced in working with the OFSTED Education Inspection framework and other standards to achieve successful outcomes in and around teaching and learning and the overall quality of education. (Essential)
  
• Experienced in developing teaching and the use of innovative approaches to teaching and learning to raise standards in teaching, learning and assessment. (Essential)
  
• A teaching qualification (at least a Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS)). (Essential)
• Experience of mentoring/coaching others to support classroom improvement & innovation in curriculum and lesson planning. (Essential)
• Experience delivering high quality CPD to support improvement in standards across an organisation. (Essential)
• Experience of leading and managing an observation process to improve the quality of TLA delivery. (Essential)
• An understanding of Apprenticeships and associated quality frameworks, such as progress reviews, to ensure the maximisation of timely assessment & verification. (Essential)
• Awareness of qualification frameworks and requirements of IV processes. (Essential)

If you do, this role is perfect for you! Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Innovation/ Teaching, Learning & Assessment Manager (Peabody Academy) on a Permanent basis at our Westminster Bridge Road in South East London.

A bit about the role:

As a Innovation/ Teaching, Learning & Assessment Manager (Peabody Academy), some of the key results for the role include:

• To work with the Academy Team in achieving its vision and mission and developing and implementing Peabody’s Strategic Plan.
• To ensure the rigorous implementation of designated quality assurance procedures and associated quality improvement plans according to Academy standards and in line with Ofsted and awarding body requirements and deadlines.
• To co-ordinate, manage and oversee the quality assurance cycle across the Academy and support the development of excellence in quality improvement for teaching, learning and assessment (TLA) and tutorial across the organisation and with agreed partners.
• To analyse the appropriate data and information to identify themes and actions to ensure appropriate and timely impact of improvement in QA and innovation.
• To lead the observation process to improve the quality of TLA delivery.
• To manage a team of colleagues allocated to improve and innovate teaching, learning and assessment practices, according to Peabody processes and procedures (induction, settling in period, connected conversations, performance) and address underperformance where necessary.
• To conduct, support and provide observations and feedback to skills trainers, learning coaches and others directly involved in delivering learning and assessment to ensure those directly involved in teaching and assessment are consistently delivering to current professional standards and meet awarding body standards via audit and observation.
• To promote and facilitate a culture of continuous professional development and improvement across the organisation.
• To contribute to the promotion and effective implementation of Peabody’s Policies including Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding, Prevent, etc.

This role will require a Enhanced DBS check and a minimum of 2 days working in the office.
