In this position, you will help coordinate and participate in the daily operations of the veteran’s cemetery. Your role as a Customer Service Representative will be vital to daily operations and provide service to veterans and their families as needed. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in Microsoft Excel and have the ability to create functional spreadsheets.

Who you will be working with

This Texas agency is focused on maximizing and diversifying revenue resources for the Permanent School Fund and is leading the charge on the development of renewable energy. This agency is helping diversify revenue for future generations of Texas schoolchildren.

Major Duties

• Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on using advanced functions in Microsoft Excel.
• Works in close collaboration with the Director and Operations Manager to coordinate office operations and provide customer service.
• Serves as a primary initial contact with outside service providers and the general public.
• Assists in recording and updating burial data, statistical reports, and inventories; requires covers; serves as a committal service representative.
• Assures proper and timely filing and storage of records, files, and reports.
• Monitors and maintains office supplies and office equipment.
• Coordinates, schedules, and trains volunteers to assist with answering phone calls. greeting and assisting the public, and completing pre-registration documents.

What we are looking for:

• Skilled in the use of a computer, and applicable software.
• Highly efficient use of Excel.
• Good interpersonal communication both written and verbal.

About the Role:

• Rate is $18.50
• Length: ASAP – August 31, 2023, with a high possibility of extension
• Day/Hours: Monday – Friday; 40 hours a week
• Location Onsite, Abilene, TX 79601
