Pearson is currently seeking experienced Educator Preparation Program (EPP) faculty and PK-12 educators to evaluate portfolios for edTPA.

We are seeking experienced Industry Experts in the following content areas:
edTPA is a pre-service assessment process designed by educators to answer the essential question: “Is a new teacher ready for the job?” edTPA includes a review of a teacher candidate’s authentic teaching materials as the culmination of a teaching and learning process that documents and demonstrates each candidate’s ability to effectively teach his/her subject matter to all students. edTPA scoring is done remotely on a temporary/part-time basis in addition to your current educator role . Training and qualification take approximately 19-24 hours and is completed at your own pace within the project time frame. Training and qualification is scheduled to begin the last week of January 2024 with peak scoring taking place March through May 2024. Portfolio volume varies throughout the season and depending on the content area. However, we ask that Scorers commit to scoring 1-2 portfolios per week during our peak times. Portfolios take an average of 2-3 hours to score.
Training and Scoring is paid on an hourly basis, $20/hour for consensus scoring.
