Peco InspX Looking for Software Engineer (Entry Level / New Grad) at Burlingame, CA Full Time

Peco InspX seeks an entry level / new grad Software Engineer for a hybrid, full-time position to contribute to the next generation of our flagship X-ray inspection software.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain key components of our real-time X-ray inspection software, ranging from device interface to image processing, IoT, and supporting a rich interface for machine operation and analytics
• Manage assigned software development projects from specification through development, testing, and documentation
• Debug and provide support to the field service team for software-related issues

Required skills:

• Internship or graduate-level academic experience in computer science or engineering
• Solid communication and technical writing skills
• Experience working through various stages of the software development life cycle
• Professional and/or significant project experience with C++ and Python
• Git version control
• Ability to work with physical devices for bring-up and debug

Desired skills:

• Experience working with real-time applications
• Experience interfacing with external devices (via serial, ethernet, etc.)
• Familiarity with image processing concepts and libraries (e.g., OpenCV, Halcon)
• Familiarity with C++ tools for memory debugging, static analysis, linting, etc.
• Familiarity with service-oriented architecture
• Exposure to web frontend technologies and Web 2.0 architecture
