JOB SUMMARY:

The PRHC Foundation Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the foundation efforts by working collaboratively with the PRHC Foundation Board, the Director of Marketing, Communications, and Foundation, hospital administration and other key staff, for fundraising, community partnerships, networking, communications, advocacy, budget and day-to-day operations. This position requires an ability to effectively and successfully communicate PRHC’s mission, goals and accomplishments. He/She is responsible for the administration of the foundation programs coordinating events and meetings with PRHC employees and donors working to fulfill PRHC’s short and long-range fundraising needs and goals.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Must display an exceptionally high level of positive and appropriate interpersonal skills and work collaboratively with all levels of employee, including staff members, management personnel and administrative personnel. Superior oral and written communication skills required. Must have solid presentation skills.
• Possess strong organizational acumen—highly organized, detail-oriented and able to interact and build relationships with many individuals, both internal and external.
• Able to develop and execute effective strategies and practical plans including projects and programs that deliver promised results.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Excel.
• High degree of empathetic listening, tact and kindness toward others.
• Must work effectively as a member of a team.
• Must be able to interpret data into meaningful information. Must demonstrate strong and objective problem-solving skills using solid reasoning skills.
• Foundation experience is preferred. Experience in identifying major donor prospects, asking for and closing major gifts, annual fund appeals, planned giving, special events and building long-term fundraising relationships with major donors, foundations and corporations is a plus.
• Familiarity and experience in working and supporting effective governance Boards preferred; Board development and ensuring Board is kept up to date on all issues preferred.
