Penfolds Roofing & Solar Looking for Health and Safety Assistant at Coquitlam, BC Full Time

Our family-owned company has been servicing the lower mainland for over 80 years with exceptional Roofing and Solar products.

We are looking for a Safety Professional to join our team. This position is a flexible full-time role, working Monday to Friday.

Job responsibilities include:
Lead the Health and safety Program for the company

Conduct daily site safety inspections to ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC requirements

Conduct New and Young Worker safety orientations

Draft and update safety policies and procedures

Complete employee coaching on-site

Complete safety and injury investigations, as needed

Draft, coordinate and monitor return to work plans

Complete WorkSafeBC forms and submit claims

Research and recommend safety solutions

Actively participate in the annual COR audit

Participate as a co-chair in the Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee

Assist with Employee Engagement activities

Assist with full cycle recruitment

Additional responsibilities, as required

The successful candidate with possess the following key attributes:

Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Human Resources, or related field

Ability to have difficult conversations about safety issues and infractions

Driver’s License

Experience working in the construction industry an asset

COR Internal Auditor certification an asset
