JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Student internship positions through Penn State’s Applied Research Laboratory working at agovernment facility in Key West, Florida are available for students with a strong interest in data analysis, information, and security applications. U.S. citizenship required. This program will immerse students inthe real-world, practical aspects of the use of information for government applications.Desired skills include experience with data mining, GIS, relational network analysis tools, and anunderstanding of information security, both in theory and practice. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Candidates selected will be subject to a government security investigation. An active security clearance is highly desired. You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply. Employment with ARL will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
