Responsibilities

• Ensure timely processing and release of purchase orders to meet business requirements and customers’ needs.
• Monitor and follow up closely with suppliers in order to receive parts within agreed period, request change mode of transport whenever necessary.
• Continuously monitor suppliers’ delivery & quality performance.
• Conduct monthly / bi-weekly VC with suppliers for effective communication & resolving issues.
• Price/MOQ Negotiation with suppliers if necessary.
• Cooperate with customer service department to fulfill customers’ urgent requests and inquiries.
• Suppliers’ performance management such as OTD (On-Time Delivery), Shipment discrepancies and LT (LeadTime) stability.
• Preparing reports for own department as well as for management within given time frame.
• Initiate action plans to improve current process and buddy system
• Create PO in SAP and send to suppliers
• Process inbound for incoming shipments
• Request for quotation from respective suppliers
• Source for alternate vendors or liaise with Technical team for alternate solution to fulfil customers backorders
• Expedite deliveries schedules to shorten lead time
• Checking of inquiries from Customer Service
• Follow up on issues pertaining to deliveries, invoicing, parts discrepancies with suppliers and logistics team
• Assist to meet company and department KPI and goals.

Requirements

• Diploma in Purchasing, Logistic or any related discipline
• At least 3 years purchasing experience and work with suppliers before
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Access is a bonus)
• User of SAP system
