About the position
We are on the search for Senior Software Engineer to join our growing Platform Operations team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to identify, develop and implement software solutions that will bring out the best in our internally developed applications. Overall, you’ll ensure our applications – used by both our employees and our members – are optimised and deliver optimal business value through automating complex and highly efficient automated processes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating and developing business solutions from requirement specification documents and developing software engineering solutions to solve complex problems
- Assisting in project and task planning with effort estimation and technical specifications
- Maintaining security of applications using, but not limited to mTLS or OAuth capabilities
- Implementing and maintaining integrations with third-party applications
- Collaborating with analysts, architects and test and release specialists to assist with requirements, acceptance criteria and test plans
- Ensuring project objectives are met and delivered on time and within budget
- Maintaining accurate configuration management of deployed systems
- Providing specialist application advice and support to aid diagnostics and issues resolution
- Owning and administering product related build pipelines and all associated software artifacts
About You
As a strong communicator, you’ll be confident in liaising across technical and non-technical stakeholders regarding complex issues. To be considered for this role, you will have completed formal degree-level qualifications in Information Technology or a related field and have solid post-graduate experience in a software (.NET) engineering role working across the entire software development Lifecyle.
Additionally, you will also demonstrate solid experience working with:
- Agile mythologies
- .NET Framework and Windows applications
- API design and development
- Scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell
- .NET Web Applications and Systems
- RESTful web services with .NET Web API framework
- Source Control and Project Management tooling such as Atlassian or Microsoft Azure tools
