The Supply Chain Planning Statistical & Data Analytics Team plays a critical role in helping the supply chain function efficiently ensuring that service and inventory levels remain optimized across the businesses. The team evaluates the full end-to-end supply chain network with a key focus on statistical forecasting, cost, capacity, capability and logistics. This role will be a hybrid office role operating out of one of three PepsiCo home offices in: Purchase, NY, Chicago, IL, or Plano, TX.The Sr Predictive Analyst will act as an individual contributor in maintaining and enhancing our legacy SAS-based demand planning statistical forecasting solution. Long-term responsibilities include deployment of PepsiCo’s new Forecast to Schedule (FTS) statistical forecasting environment. The team also currently maintains reporting and metrics with Tableau and PowerBI.Our team values curiosity as we are always looking for innovative ideas to continue to refine our forecasts from small gains in code efficiency to methodology changes. The ideal candidate will display a willingness to take risks in applying innovative ideas using the latest techniques and algorithms. They have a passion for learning and will take an interest in both the technical and business aspects of supply chain to enhance our relationship with our stakeholders.Communication is important to our team as we interface on a regular basis with our stakeholders in demand planning, transformation, IT and external vendors.Team Responsibilities:The Supply Chain Planning Statistical & Data Analytics Team’s primary responsibilities include:1) Maintain and enhance the demand forecasting statistical models2) Design, develop and publish supply chain metrics3) Provide analysis and support to the demand planning organization4) Liaise with IT and data engineering for regular execution of the forecasting and reporting processesKey Responsibilities:The Sr Predictive Analyst’s key responsibilities include:- Maintain and enhance our proprietary SAS-based statistical forecasting engines operating in a UNIX environment- Ensure the proper operation of the forecast engines as a part of a weekly production schedule- Ensure the proper operation of the daily reporting scripts and dashboards- Maintain productive relationships with IT, data engineering and visual analytics teams for technical issues- Maintain productive relationship with demand planning for business issues- Assist senior analytics team members and subject matter experts in support of improving supply chain analyticsOther Details:- Candidate must reside within reasonable commuting distance of the offices in Chicago, IL, Purchase, NY or Plano, TX.- This position is not eligible for relocation.- Applicant must have permanent residence for work in the United States.- Must be willing and able to travel 5-10% of the time.- COVID-19 vaccination is a condition of employment for this role.
