Summary

To provide administrative support to the Feed mill manager. To provide back up to other live production areas as needed. Must be a friendly self-starter individual with a pleasant phone voice and energetic personality. Requires Microsoft Office experience, and at least 1 year of office and/or clerical experience. Individual will be actively involved in the Company Safety program as well as Audit Compliance, and the long term and short term goals of the Feed mill. AA degree or related experience preferred but not required.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Act in capacity of Poultry Care Officer, coordinating audit compliance.
• Coordinate data input to Excel worksheet on a daily basis and communicate to other departments.
• Interpret and enforce quality control rules, regulations and procedures to ensure food and feed safety standards are met.
• Schedule feed mill deliveries to farms.
• Receive and process requisition requests.
• Make outbound calls as needed.
• Support Manager, feed mill operators and live personnel reporting needs.
• Ability to multi-task, adapt to rapid changes and work well under limited supervision.
• Must be computer literate, especially with Microsoft Office products,
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Participate in company and department safety program.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.

Education and/or Experience:

• AA degree or related experience in field preferred, but not required.

Language Skills:

• Ability to understand , speak, and write fluent English. Bilingual is preferred but not required.

Reasoning Ability:

• Ability to solve problems and/or adjustments related to changing conditions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and verbal forms, such as customer orders. Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management, work across departmental teams. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general poultry husbandry procedures. Ability to collect data and prepare reports

Physical Demands:

Ability to carry out repetitive motions of the arms, wrist, and hands. Ability to use hands to feel objects, tools, and controls. Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pound boxes and material regularly. Ability to regulate stand, walk and climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must have close and distant vision and ability to distinguish colors.

Work Environment:

Has constant access to confidential information. Normal heated/ventilated office environment. Occasionally subject to plant conditions (temperatures ranging from 28 – 50 degrees).Periodic field visits in farm environment
