Customer Service Engineer – Auckland

Your challenge:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Customer Service Engineer to work on a range of imaging equipment including but not limited to X-Ray, CT and MRI to be based in Auckland, New Zealand. This is a critical customer facing role with responsibilities of maintaining and developing robust customer relationships and providing expert technical advice on maintenance, installation and servicing of our medical equipment (software & hardware) in line with our regulations and policies.
Furthermore, the responsibilities also include:
Executing technical service to the requests, problems, or planned service activities. Solutions or actions should be carried out in accordance with our regulatory guidelines, processes & procedures.
Solutions are provided by using remote / onsite diagnostics, troubleshooting techniques, service technical information, or knowledge, executing service work orders and keeping the customer informed of the service status.
Focusing on First Time Right ensuring there is a clear action plan, with parts (if required), and remote diagnosis before the onsite visit.
Working collaboratively with the wider organisation to provide exceptional service to our customers.
Seeking Lead generation for sales or value-added service opportunities, where we can support our customers further to deliver value.
Taking a lead in handling customers’ complaints (safety & non-safety related) & managing technical escalations through to resolution ensuring all stakeholders are continually updated of progress.
Providing best-in-class service to our customers with technical support, maintenance and repairs on equipment.
Determining most cost-effective repair/solution to minimise customer downtime.
Maintaining a high level of knowledge through continual training and development and keeping up to date of new technologies relevant to your area of focus and take on new technology.
The role will normally be located in Auckland, however, Philips may require you to work at alternatives locations (including interstate locations).
The role requires adequate number of trainings on Philips equipment which is done locally and overseas.
We are looking for:
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have a degree level education or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering with experience in customer facing service engineering background within medical equipment industry.
Furthermore, you will have strong IT Skills, interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
