About the Role:

Our client is seeking a Billing Specialist with at least one year of accounting experience. The most important quality in a candidate is their genuine interest in learning and performing billing responsibilities. This is a temporary to full-time opportunity.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to gain hands-on accounting experience. Within this role, you will work within a dynamic team. You will report to a growth-oriented Senior Accounting Manager. You will have the option to work in a hybrid capacity or fully remotely.

What You’ll Do:

• Keep an accurate record of client accounts and outstanding balances

• Receive, sort, and track incoming payments

• Securely handle client data and payment information

• Provide regular, accurate reports of billing data

• Collaborate with customers, third party institutions and other team members to resolve billing inconsistencies and errors

• Create invoices and billing materials to be sent directly to a customer

• Input payment history, upcoming payment information or other financial data into an individual account

What You’ll Bring:

• 1 year of accounting experience in ANY accounting related field (eg. Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, etc.)

• Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration

• Confident in knowing debits and credits

• Growth mindset; wants to improve in billing process skills

• Intrinsically motivated; strong desire to learn and perform well, especially in billing related tasks

• Fast learner; ability to understand new computer programs quickly

• Proficient in MS Office, MS Excel; Pivot Tables, Vlookups, QuickBooks a plus

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $22.00 – $26.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
