Responsible for collaborating with the physician and inter-disciplinary treatment team in the delivery of psychiatric in-patient care, formulation of individualized treatment plans utilizing the nursing process to facilitate the delivery of the care.
Directs, monitors, and evaluates the nursing care delivered.
Plans, develops, coordinates, implements and evaluates the activities and service delivery of behavioral health programs; and performs related work as required. Develops, implements, and monitors the programs to add and expand behavioral health services as deemed appropriate.
Participates in developing and implementing care coordination pertaining to behavioral health services, such as healthcare integration and evidence-based prevention and treatment approaches throughout the continuum (Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical Units, Gero-Psych).
Demonstrates a commitment to the customer service process in all interactions and in performing all job duties.
Performs duties in a manner to promote quality patient care and customer service/satisfaction, while promoting safety, and cost efficiency.
Participates in Policy Development to meet CMS Conditions of Participation, JCAHO, System and Hospital Goals, and Performance Improvement for Inpatient Behavioral Health.
MSN required Psychiatric and or Mental Health Nursing.
Current Illinois RN license.
Preferred five years post-masters clinical and/or administrative experience and two years supervisor experience.
Outstanding ability to communicate verbally and in writing in order to effectively interact internally and externally.
Good computer skills necessary to access patient databases, e-mail systems, etc.
Effective problem-solving skills and awareness and resolution of potential situations.
Management skills to influence HR utilization and motivation, marketing, and inter/intra-departmental relations.
Proven ability to inspire leadership skills in all nursing positions through the use of excellent management skills as well as to facilitate a team environment.
