Job Description:

You are:

A focused individual that can handle client calls, advising and then directing the call to the correct department, while maintaining the highest professionalism. A forward-thinking team player who will submit new ideas, strategies, or concepts to ensure that the business is retained, and the client is satisfied.

This is a US remote position that can be based in the Pacific, Mountain, or Central United States. Preference will be given to candidates in the Central United States.

You will:

• Answer and route incoming calls, emails, and chat messages on a complex digital telephone system.
• Perform database retrieval for directory information.
• Provide information obtained from a variety of sources to field questions from both internal and external clients regarding departments, phone numbers, operational hours, etc.
• Assist callers in identifying needs, explain next steps or provides key information, and then route calls appropriately, providing a ‘warm hand off’ where necessary.
• Answer questions and provide some training for new operators and colleagues.
• Keep computer skills current by attending training on new equipment and learning new or modified procedures.
• Identify calls in need of immediate assistance and escalate to a department manager where appropriate
• Maintain a professional attitude at all time
• Be able to work as part of a team as well as in individual.
• Meet Deadlines
• And other Duties as needed
• Punctuality and dependable attendance is critical to success

Your background:

• Minimum of one year of Client Service or call center experience
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Computer literate and adaptable in using different software (Microsoft platforms is a must)
• Home office/desk with reliable internet service sufficient to meet the needs of the position. All computer equipment and peripherals will be provided.
• Demonstrated ability to: problem solve, de-escalate and resolve client issues, multi-task, be courteous, patient and analytical in order to handle client concerns
• Available to work Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm Central Time.

Preferred

• 2 years of call center, call handling, or related experience
• Proven success working from home

• Have a secure, quiet, distraction-free area at home in which to focus on work and protect client data
  • Have dependent and child-care arrangements
  • Be comfortable primarily communicating with colleagues via videoconference
  • Be as productive (if not more) working from home as in office
  • Be able to work independently with little direction
• Have the technology to work successfully at home
  • Reliable high-speed internet
  • In-house, hard-wired internet connection
  • Internet Service Speeds, while working, must support a minimum 30 Mbps download
    • Check your current speed at www.speedtest.net; ongoing checks once working are required

Compensation:

The wage for this position is $19.23 / hour.
