Pleasant View Gardens – MN Hiring for Greenhouse Grower at Maple Plain, MN Full Time

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Oversee plant health, pest management, plant nutrition and related cultural practices for plant materials in greenhouse and outdoors
• Manage quality control of plant selection for our custom orders
• Maintain clean and organized greenhouse environment
• Management of greenhouse staff, scheduling of greenhouse staff, and prioritizing of tasks as needed
• Manage inventory of annual bedding plants, as well as assistance in ordering perennials, shrubs, and trees
• Maintain greenhouse growing equipment, as well as organization and ordering of various growing materials
• Order materials for seasonal container displays and greenhouse production, and inventory tracking of these materials
• Annual plant material designs for clients
• Plant sourcing and ordering for the coming season including maintaining vendor relationships
• Track new materials and plants on the market for use in production/sales
• Plant handling, receiving, labeling as well as order pulling
• Cross train and work to learn customer sites, as well as areas of garden maintenance during June through November
• Completion of all other tasks and jobs as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour

Experience:

• Greenhouse: 1 year (Required)
• Management: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• Pesticide Applicator’s License (Preferred)
