Job Description:
As a Software Engineer for our Skills Assessments team at Pluralsight, you’ll deliver core functionality, that helps our Business customers measure the success of their cloud adoption and education journey. You’ll get the chance to contribute to the ‘how’ of software gets built, deliver beautiful software and inject DevOps and Security principles into your code. What you’ll own:

Consistently write well tested, readable, secure and accessible code

Deliver high quality systems in technologies such as Node, React, GraphQL and AWS services

Contribute to agile ceremonies, offering suggestions in daily stand-ups, retrospectives and other team meetings

Pair Program with your team-mates, review pull requests and provide feedback

Contribute to the ongoing support of product releases in production

Develop and support build pipelines and infrastructure, and own your systems in production

Mentor and share knowledge with the people around you by imparting what you know willingly

Use written, verbal and visual communication to facilitate technical discussion and share ideas

Participate in an on-call rotation, supporting the team’s system in production

Play an active role in building awesome team culture
Experience you’ll need:

2+ years in commercial software development

Experience working in full-stack development, ideally using NodeJS and React

Experience working with relational or non-relational databases

Experience writing tests and following clean code practices

Experience pair programming and participating in code reviews

Exposure to deploying applications in AWS, in services like Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, S3

Exposure to good documentation practices
