Receptionist

Pocasett Staffing Group is assisting a skilled nursing facility (nursing home) to identify a full-time Scheduler / Receptionist to work on-site at a facility.

Scheduler duties: This position requires a highly organized individual with the ability to multitask and includes:

• Verify schedules are set for each shift within facility
• Organize, prioritize and coordinate all nursing staff schedules
• Post staff schedule with 4 weeks in advance
• Develop/utilize a master schedule at all times
• Work closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure accurate staffing
• Proactively identify staffing problems, take initiative to resolve, and communicate to the DON and /or Administrator
• Other duties as assigned
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and prior experience with Scheduling Software required.
• The ideal candidate will also have previous scheduling experience.
• Specific experience with Excel, On Shift, and Expense Watch is also a plus.

Receptionist duties: Responsible for greeting visitors and guests to our facility, including maintaining the Visitor’s Log and checking in vendors or other service providers.

• Receive and follow reception schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures.
• Answer telephone, determine nature of call and direct caller to appropriate individual or department.
• Receive request from within the facility and locate personnel through paging system.
• Maintain a current file/listing of residents by name and room number, emergency phone members of on-call personnel, department extensions, key personnel, etc.
• Maintain a current listing of critical residents and/or residents who may not receive phone calls due to their condition. (May refer such calls to Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.)
• Greet visitors. Direct to appropriate office and/or resident room.
• Ensue guests/visitors abide by existing rules and refuse admission to persons as directed.
• Assist with administrative duties as directed. (Includes typing, filing, posting accounts, etc.)
• Receive, sort, and distribute mail as directed.
• Other related duties and responsibilities that may become necessary or appropriate.

• Detailed oriented with excellent follow up skills
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of office equipment (Computer, Fax, Copy Machine, Multi Line Phone, etc.)
• Knowledge of office software (Excel, Microsoft Outlook),Internet
• Ability to learn new software programs
