Populous People Limited Looking for Contracts Manager – circa $110,000 to $130,000 at Greater Napier-Hastings Area Full Time
Reporting to the CFO, and with accountability across procurement and contract management processes of an $80million annual spend, this role will be well suited to those familiar with and able to relate to contracts administration and management.
This newly created full-time role can be based in either Napier or Hastings, as this entity has offices and teams in both of Hawkes Bay’s main centres.

As Contracts Manager you your remit will sit across areas including the procurement of services, equipment, vehicles, buildings, and lease arrangements as well as broad range of other ancillary arrangements. You will be managing the contracts process to ensure the right contract frameworks are in place and that all the correct steps of contract engagement are aligned, accurately documented and well monitored. There are multiple stakeholders and engagement points in this role which has a strong health sector leaning. Relationship building and key stakeholder engagement go hand in hand with contract management – your key stakeholders will include primary care providers, funders, legal support, as well as key influencers and decision makers in the executive team.
The successful candidate will have held relevant and relatable contract and documentation management related roles – you will be known for your attention to detail. You must have empathy, and commitment to enhancing community-based outcomes. You will have a collaborative, and highly engaged and initiative-led communication style. You must be financially and commercially aware given the significance of the annual contracts budget – a relevant tertiary qualification would be highly regarded.
