This Napier based senior executive level role will see you take the helm for Fresh Meats NZ. Fresh Meats NZ is a part of the Integrated Foods Group, a well-established vertically integrated agribusiness with large scale farms in Gisborne and Lamb processing facilities in Napier. This role overseas their Napier plant as well as domestic and export sales functions – they have a refined focus on value add and delivering premium finished goods to their customers domestically and internationally. The challenge lies in driving consistent end to end performance across the Napier plant in line with clear performance targets. You will be well supported and well remunerated for your impact.

As GM reporting to the Group CEO of Integrated Foods, you will be responsible for the overall operational and financial performance of their Napier based processing and sales operation ensuring continued commercial success. This is all about strategic planning, driving productivity, improving tonnage and yields and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across their teams to ensure Fresh Meats continue to produce their quality product to achieve added value pricing. You will be leading an engaged senior management team sitting across production, engineering, compliance, procurement, sales and HR. This team have strong industry knowledge and your role is to optimise this team and the plant performance whilst all the while balancing the labour based and operational pressure that come in a food manufacturing and primary procurement and supply environment.

This will be suited to GM level leaders who understand the pressures of driving performance in commercially focused manufacturing environments. We need a pragmatic, resilient people leader who can demonstrate how to successfully run a production plant. Meat industry experience is highly desirable. Either way, you will have GM level experience across relevant and relatable entities and sectors. Ideally you will need to have a sound knowledge of market access requirements and compliance that comes with successfully running a meat plant.
