Porters Ski Area Looking for Lodge Server at Canterbury Full Time
A great all rounder, you get stuck in when the work needs to be done. Based at Porters Lodge, you will be in charge of Breakfast service and Housekeeping. The ability to plan effectively and multitask is key as you have management of a couple of key areas in our beautiful Lodge. You’ll work mainly morning shifts and then chip in from time to time on busy afternoon or dinner service. The good news is you’ll get accomodation on site, meaning you’ll never be more than 10min from the snow.
Here’s the job:
- Management of housekeeping in the 36 bed Lodge, both general and accomodation. Using our current SOP’s to uphold our consistent product
- Management of laundry and linen
- Breakfast service to guests
- Barista duties, training with our coffee provider will be provided
- FOH service will be required from time to time
- A warm and friendly member of the Porters staff
A little about you:
- Experience in hospitality is an advantage
- An eye for detail
- An efficient worker with the ability to problem solve
- A great sense of humour
- Experience living remotely with others
- A team player and great communicator
- A cool head under pressure
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Hold a current vaccine passport
- Have an interest in skiing or snowboarding
