Our clinical department defines, develops, and delivers clinical programmes. We ensure the highest-quality review of data and effective interaction with study sites, including on-site monitoring throughout a study, ensuring that patients receive needed care, as well as identifying and treating clinical trial participants.

Our team is expanding and we are looking to hire a Senior Import Export Coordinator to work for our site in Athlone. The role could work from home with some travel to the site as required.

A Senior Import Export Coordinator acts as a liaison and support to the local team in all areas of clinical supplies lifecycle (i.e., receipt, storage & handling, shipment & delivery, return & and accountability, destruction coordination) for assigned studies and the related Import/Export activities.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures all activities are executed in compliance with company good practices and client requirements.
• Completes on going training on new regulations concerning clinical supplies and GxP activities.
• Participates in and supports department project teams, including development clinical supply strategy.
• Assists in the development and suggestion of improvements to update departmental SOPs.
• May train or assist junior staff.
• Ensure that import & export activities are done according to PPD requirements, Client requirements and applicable regulations.
• Actively assist Trade Compliance Manager in updates related applicable regulations in the country of his/her scope
• Executes Import & Export plan in place for each project, and actively make suggestions according to local operation requirements
• Serves as a local point of contact related Import Export and Trade Compliance in-country.
• Meet with the Trade Compliance Manager to discuss import & export issues.
• Suggest and Participates in ongoing Training on new Regulations concerning Import/Exports activities.
• Maintain filing of import export documentation

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
• 4+ years relevant experience in foreign trade and logistic activities is essential
• Knowledge of both local and global regulations covering all kinds of Import and Export activities
• Specific Clinical Supply training and courses are essential
• Familiar with clinical supply terminology, practices and principles
• excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
