Job description
Praxis Care support individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental ill health, dementia, acquired brain injury, and complex needs throughout Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, England, and Isle of Man. We are currently going through an exceptional period of growth. Due to this growth and outstanding career development opportunities we currently have the following vacancies within Intellectual Disability Services:
Support Worker
Ballina Day Service, Co. Mayo
We operate 9-5 Monday to Friday. Service user needs vary and we offer training to support these needs-such as Irish Sign Language training, wheelchair clamping support, Moving & handling of people, FEDs training-amongst other mandatory training. We support individuals with aspects of personal care when required.
Some of the support we provide is outreach. This is where the service user does not physically attend the center, but meets a support worker in their own community, to develop skills. We operate from a New Directions approach of person centeredness and offer the individual choice over every aspect of their service.

- Salary information is based on working full time hours. Salary dependent on qualification/experience. Full time / Part time and relief contracts are available and can be discussed at interview.
