Job Description

The Quality Assurance Coordinator position develops, implements and oversees the Quality Control and ISO 13485 Quality Management systems for a Medical Device Manufacturing Company. The position is responsible for ensuring products and processes meet established quality standards and customer specifications.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

• Maintain the ISO Quality Management System and related documentation.
• Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate and correct customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
• Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
• Monitor and direct environmental test functions and applications.
• Oversee ISO and quality training programs.
• Create work orders and perform in process inspections.
• Maintain leadership role in continuous improvement efforts.
• Perform internal ISO audits and coordinate annual independent surveillance audits.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience/education.
• Supervisory/management experience.

Working conditions

All manufacturing performed in environmentally controlled white rooms. This requires the employee to wear a smock, head net, beard cover (if necessary). Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.

Normal office type work performed in typical office environment.

Physical requirements

• Largely a sedentary role; however there is walking involved during in process inspections. Some bending and lifting involved in product incoming inspection and placing product on stock shelves. This requires the ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds.
