Primary Talent Partners Hiring for Editorial Coordinator at Remote Full Time

Primary Talent Partners has a contract position with a Textbook Publisher!

Responsibilities:

• Review existing content to ensure it meets our high standards of editorial and instructional excellence, with focus on quality, engagement, and classroom sensitivity.
• Perform content remediation on existing content to conform to company style and accessibility guidelines.
• Make any necessary adjustments to content, including adding alt text to all images, with an expert eye for correct grammar and usage.
• Source appropriate images to enhance understanding and engagement of assignments.
• Record and track changes to texts and images in various record-keeping formats.
• Exhibit exceptional attention to detail with an ability to troubleshoot and multitask.
• Communicate with fellow team members about project progress and develop solutions to address issues.
• Work as a team player to meet all intermediate and final schedules.

Requirements:

• BA in English, journalism, education, or related field.
• Minimum of one year as an editorial assistant, or similar role, in K-12 educational publishing or educational technology.
• Understanding of appropriate language, voice, and vocabulary for students across all grade levels.
• Self-motivated and highly organized, with exceptional follow-through, initiative, and commitment to excellence.
• Familiarity with MLA style guide of Chicago Manual of Style.
• Ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced rapidly changing work environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Experience working in content management systems.
• Classroom/education experience is a plus.
