Profab Electronics is seeking an experienced, reliable, and task-oriented purchasing assistant to perform broad range of tasks required to meet the needs of the company. For this role, you should have good knowledge of market research, along with solid analytical skills to make sure you’re identifying the most profitable offers.

Purchasing Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintains strong working relationships with vendors.

· Supports Purchasing in the selection for new and existing projects.

· Seeks pricing from multiple vendors and negotiates for best cost to secure company needs.

· Prepare estimates and process requisitions with adequate lead time to ensure on-time arrival of supplies.

• Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make effective purchasing decisions.

· Communicate and resolve issues with suppliers and inbound freight carriers.

· Work closely with production team leads to assure consistent availability of production materials.

· Follow up with purchase orders and deliveries to ensure all supplies arrive in a timely manner.

· Performs other related duties as required

Purchasing Assistant Skills

• Fluent in English
• College degree preferred
• Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
• Strong persuasion and negotiation skills

· High critical thinking skills

· Solid judgement along with decision making skills

· Advanced Microsoft office skills, with an ability to become familiar with firm-specific programs and software.

· Strong organizational, time management, project management and problem-solving skills.
