Professional Supply Hiring for Customer Service Representative at Virginia Beach, VA Full Time

We are looking for a customer service representative to join our team! As a customer service representative, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our clients over the phone and online channels. You will be answering customer inquiries, resolving customer issues, and providing general support. The ideal candidate should have experience in customer service, and have excellent internet research skills to keep up to date on over 20,000 products.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, online channels such as email, chat, and social media platforms in a prompt and professional manner.
• Conduct thorough internet research to provide customers with accurate and up-to-date information related to their inquiries.
• Navigate and utilize multiple online resources to find the information required to respond to customer inquiries.
• Provide updates to customers on shipments, product availability, routing etc. using relevant tools, and carrier websites etc. in order to provide accurate information to our customers.
• Proactively identify and report system issues or trends to the relevant departments to ensure timely resolution.
• Utilizing inventory management software to manage and monitor stock levels
• Using CRM software to track customer interactions, orders, set goals and communicate with others
• Using Excel and CSV proficiency to manage data and generate reports
• Work collaboratively with remote team members to provide high-quality customer service, returns, shipping, tracking and onsite product information.
• In the event of service failures conduct a root cause analysis to find out what caused the problem and coordinate a prompt recovery response by working with the customer and internal associates.
• Escalate complex issues to the appropriate departments.
• Follow up with customers as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
• In off-season, be able to help with customer database, sales, reviews and continue in product training on new items brought in.
• Observe all company and department rules, requests, and procedures.
• Miscellaneous related duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in customer service and e-commerce
• Excellent presentation, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, Google)
• Proficiency in inventory management software, CRM software, and CSV
• Strong internet research skills and proficiency in navigating multiple online resources.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to learn, train and retain information on the constant influx of new product being sold.
• Demonstrate a mindset that recognizes the importance and sensitivity of our customers.
• Multi-tasking abilities to perform in a high-volume call environment.
• Excellent phone etiquette and proven customer service abilities.
• High level of analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Display attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour

Shift:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
