How will you make a difference to PMI?
As the Compliance & Ethics Analyst you will be responsible for maintaining and promoting awareness of PMI’s global corporate compliance program, including policies, risk assessments, training, and investigations. You will lead volunteer teams to support Legal department objectives related to ethics.
What you’ll bring to the role:
You will advise on and contribute to the creation and support of organization-wide effective compliance program and risk management strategies based on global legal and regulatory requirements.
Partner with business units across the organization to advise management on alignment of corporate initiatives with applicable legal requirements and in accordance with established policies and procedures of PMI and to monitor compliance enforcement of policies and regulations.
You will lead volunteer teams that support Legal department objectives as Volunteer Engagement Liaison. Develop annual charters for the teams and champion team objectives, monitoring progress. Establish and support regular meetings with the teams.
Provide administrative support and event support for the assigned volunteer teams. Attend in-person meetings when applicable.
Contribute to development of risk management strategies to identify and mitigate ethics risks facing PMI members in project management.
You will develop ethics-focused learning resources for PMI membership to promote understanding of and adherence to the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
You will support investigations of whistleblower complaints, grievances and member ethics violation reports. Administrate case management for member ethics cases.
You will review employee and volunteer conflicts of interest disclosures and other disclosures.
You will conduct and document compliance due diligence.
You will organize and maintain compliance documentation in accordance with the records retention policy.
You will review and maintain assigned compliance policies.
You will participate in compliance risk assessments.
You will assist with reporting of compliance metrics to the Board.
Other tasks to support Legal as assigned by the Compliance Manager or General Counsel.
Role Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
Minimum four (4) years work experience in a paralegal role OR supporting a legal or compliance department required
Experience and understanding of compliance and risk activities and strategies required
Experience leading committees or teams required
In-depth knowledge of global compliance and business practices required
Event planning experience preferred.
