Protective Care Ambulance Hiring for EMT’s needed at Paterson, NJ Full Time

Protective Care Ambulance, located in Paterson NJ, is searching for certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) for part-time, full-time and per diem employment.

We are looking for friendly, people-oriented, caring, compassionate, skilled professionals, who are detail-oriented, can make sound clinical judgments and will pay attention to the special needs of our patients and satisfaction of our clients, while being adaptable and flexible to schedules shifts.

We currently offer 12-hour shift part-time, full-time positions (4am-4pm, 8am-8pm, or 12-hour shift to closing), and per diem positions, with overtime hours available, Monday – Saturday.

The pay rate is $18-23 per hour.

Responsibilities include:

• Driving ambulances in a safe and responsible manner, being familiar and adhering to laws and company driving policies/standards.
• Securing and transporting patients on stretchers from and to various medical facilities, nursing homes and/or residences in non-emergency situations.
• Providing oxygen therapy to patients.
• Communicating clearly in a caring and professional manner with patients, caregivers, family members, and medical facility staff regarding patients.
• Communicating with dispatchers in a regular and timely manner regarding the transportation status and information relevant to support the Company in providing a quality service to our patients and clients.
• Collaborating with the employees, including staff, dispatchers and other drivers/crews, working as a team to help each other ensure the scheduled patients are safely transported every day.
• Documenting transportation activities in a comprehensive and accurate manner and collecting proper paperwork relating to the patients being transported as required.
• Maintaining clean and orderly vehicles and supplies in the ambulance.
• Cleaning and disinfecting equipment between patients.
• Fueling up the vehicle before the end of each shift.
• Providing 3 calendar day advanced notice of planned absences, except emergencies, and be committed to the agreed upon work hours and shifts.

Key Qualifications:

• Authorized to work in the U.S.A.
• Valid National, NJ or NY EMT certification
• Valid CPR certification
• Valid NJ driver’s license with safe driving record
• Capable of passing background check, drug testing and fingerprinting
• Capable of being covered under the Company’s auto insurance policy
• Capable of providing valid reference checks, with discretions, including those from previous workplaces, if requested

Pay: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour
