Job description – Data Entry Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Maintain superior standards through detailed order processing and data entry.
• Create Excel spreadsheets, type in information provided by customers, verify customer information by comparing to source documents, and creating Sales Orders (QuickBooks).
• Single orders frequently consist of several hundred inventory items, the ability to remain focused and patient is important as is attention to detail.
• Update existing data and retrieve/repurpose data from a database as required.
• Communicating with customers/sales staff to confirm order accuracy, this includes answering phones, attending to walk-in/will call customers, and responding to emails in a timely fashion.
• Assisting sales team in order processing and customer relations.
• Following orders through processing (requires walking up and down stairs, between the offices and production floor, to answer questions and check on order progress).
• Assisting with any other duties are required.

Qualifications and Knowledge:

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 1-3 years of office experience or equivalent education
• Proficiency in MS Office, primarily MS Excel
• Working knowledge of accounting software such as Quickbooks (preferred but not required)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (English required)
• Positive and energetic demeanor

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $19.00 per hour
