On behalf of a leading transportation company, Protrans Personnel Services is searching for an Administrative Support Clerk in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
This is role is Monday to Friday and the hours of work are 7:00am to 3:30pm
Who you are:
- Able to work within a fast paced work environment, multi-task in order to ensure that the customers, terminal contacts, and US partners needs are met in a timely fashion
- Self-starter with the motivation and the ability to investigate problems and proactively prevent future ones
- Ability to clearly & proficiently communicate (speak & comprehend) in English
- Transportation, and or Clerical experience required;
- OS&D and freight movement experience preferred;
- Experience with AS 400 experience an asset
What You Will Do:
- Investigate and work with the Customers to resolve any OS&D issues;
- Investigate and solve any issues with the freight that has been left to your attention from the previous afternoon/midnights shifts work;
- Complete a dock check for exception freight daily to rectify any exception freight on the dock throughout the day;
- Update the AS400 with the OS&D shipment status;
- Answer and assist other Terminals, the Claims department and Head office with OS&D issues;
- Complete and fax several reports with respect to OS&D;
- To work with and take part in customer service functions to ensure Terminal Inbound and Outbound service levels are attained.
