THE ROLE

As a Quality Engineer on one of our agile teams you will evangelize and champion quality practices across the team throughout the development lifecycle. Working in a structured and methodical manner you will work alongside the Product Owner, Engineers, and Stakeholders to ensure quality releases and system uptime of a high-transaction e-commerce web application. Using automation wherever possible you will help create a rapid deployment model of software delivery. This position is open to remote consideration in all of the United States except New York, New Jersey and Colorado.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate early and often with your teammates and other stakeholders to understand the scope of features
• Help drive the creation of clear stories and acceptance criteria
• Create automated test suites that can be used to test new features and become part of the regression suite
• Maintain and improve the existing automated regression suite
• Triage bugs and improve testing in response
• Create and perform various forms of functional and non-functional testing
• Manually test scenarios when necessary

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years of test automation experience using modern testing tools
• Experience using Cypress or Playwright
• Experience testing web applications
• Experience testing both functional and non-functional requirements
• Experience running performance and load testing
• REST/Web API testing experience using tools such as Postman
• Experience with relational database testing (SQL Server)
• Solid working knowledge of JavaScript of TypeScript
• Ability to write SQL queries
• Experience using logging/monitoring tools such as DataDog
• Experience with cloud hosted web applications.
