Summary As Supervisory Realty Specialist, you’ll supervise non-technical aspects of a Senior Realty Specialist, and technical work of journey-level Realty Specialists, and/or a Program Specialist. Insures a satisfactory quality & quantity of work through performance planning work to be done by subordinates. Location of position: Public Buildings Service, Real Estate Acquisition Div, San Francisco or San Diego, CA. We are currently filling 1 vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed. Responsibilities Responsible for project management and planning, including development of prospectus development studies, lease management plans, project management strategies, schedules, tracking systems, and budget estimates for approved projects. Also participates in developing short and long range plans in Federal and/or leased space. Maintain current knowledge of and respond to employee questions involving any or all subject areas of Government real estate management, project management, space requirements development, lease acquisition, facility site acquisition, and realty contract management and administration. Monitor projects, and develop short and long range plans in Federal and leased space. Provide recommendations concerning projected operations, significant trends, recurring problems and similar management concerns. Participate in development of branch budget estimates and operating plans. Recommend alternatives for problems, facilitates resolution, and develop realistic customer expectations. The GS-13 salary range starts at $111,609 per year for San Diego, CA The GS-13 salary range starts at $121,873 per year for San Francisco, CA If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience must demonstrate: (1) An advanced knowledge and application of Federal, commercial, and/or corporate realty laws, regulations, and practices; (2) Experience providing advice and solutions to clients on their long and short term space requirements; (3) Performance of lease project management for low and mid-rise commercial office and special purpose space including lease construction; (4) Experience managing, supervising, or leading a team, and; (5) Experience managing and performing contract oversight for realty transactions. Quality Ranking Factors (QRFs): QRFs are knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) that could be expected to significantly enhance performance in a position, but are not essential for satisfactory performance. Applicants who possess such KSA’s may be ranked above those who do not, but no one may be rated ineligible solely for failure to possess such KSA’s. The Quality Ranking Factor for this position is the ability to acquire and maintain a warrant, which includes formal training, experience (on the job training) and a minimum of 24 semester hours (or equivalent) of business college coursework or a bachelor’s degree.
