Position Summary: Reports to: Repair and Warehouse Manager

Due to market expansion we have an immediate need for a Hardware Repair Technician. This position will be responsible for the testing and repair of all hardware returned from field units.

The successful Hardware Repair Technician will be hands on with a “Can Do” attitude. He or she will take on the role ensuring all activities concerned with each area are carried out, meeting or exceeding the objectives of the program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test parts for failure identifying the root cause of failure

• Make recommendations on repair based on test results

• Process warranty returns according to manufacturer’s warranty procedures

• Repair electronics and hardware internally by replacing internal components, repairing circuit boards, capacitors, integrated circuits, etc. with a high degree of proficiency

• Disassemble, repair and reassemble units back to their original state

• Use the appropriate tools needed for repairs, while taking the necessary precautions to prevent damage to internal components

• Utilize CRM to maintain case records of all repairs and work completed

• Provide recommendations based on trends identified with returned parts

• Performs these and other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner

Qualifications:

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing hardware components for computers, monitors and circuit boards

• A good understanding of how computers function

• Experience de-soldering and soldering components on circuit boards (wiring, surface mount, through hole, etc.)

• Experience with repairing display technologies

• Ability to make independent decisions based on outcomes

• Ability to lift 75 pounds

• Must have reliable transportation, valid US driver license and clean driving record

• Must be proficient in Window OS environment, administrative roles and security settings

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook and Excel

• Strong knowledge of tools and how they are used to complete repairs

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Excellent time management, organization and multi-tasking skills

• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
