A career in Learning and Development, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to the success of our people by developing quality and relevant learning initiatives that constantly improve the PwC experience. You’ll help us identify and source the best instructors, develop learning and performance improvement solutions across traditional and virtual classroom environments, and consult with other areas of the Firm to ensure our curriculums and initiatives support the PwC strategy.
As part of our Learning and Development Design and Curriculum team, you’ll help lead the design process for all PwC traditional classroom and technology enabled learning solutions. You’ll be working with subject matter specialists, programme directors/managers and project teams to strategise effective ways to educate and train our people on industry related materials.

This role is a team member on the design, development and evaluation of training for core auditors. This training is created and maintained for the use of the network of PwC firms to train and develop their audit practitioners in PwC Audit methodology, tools and templates. Current priorities include contributing to the design and development of the curriculum of the future, which is being driven by changes as a result of the Next Generation Audit Programme.

Demonstrates intimate-level abilities &/or a proven record of success managing efforts with identifying & addressing client needs:
Bringing recent experience including methodology skills & experience working virtually w/ dispersed teams, territory perspectives, & current learner insights to the Global Assurance Quality – Learning & Education design & development process;
Creating materials suitable for senior practitioners, like sample audit documentation & case facts to highlight issues & learning points;
Writing/updating materials to support instructors in the Network for delivery of successful audit training;
Drafting/updating scripts covering technical audit content in an engaging/effective format for delivery in eLearn & micro learn solutions;
Drafting/updating post course assessment questions;
Championing global training materials in the Network;
Drafting internal/external communications to support successful implementation of materials in Network territories;
Demonstrating experience with both audit practice & creating training solutions for audit practitioners using audit tools such as Aura, Connect Suite, Halo for Journals, Count;
Owning experience in Learning & Education instruction, training design & development or a strong interest in Learning & Education/adult learning;
Working independently & self-motivated, able to manage tasks to meet tight deadlines;
Demonstrating robust interpersonal & organizational skills;
Demonstrating experience with PCAOB engagements is beneficial but not required;
Demonstrating cultural sensitivity & dexterity while working with multicultural teams & with an understanding of implications in learning design & implementation;
Operating/collaborating cogently in a hybrid/virtual global setting with a mindset that transcends geographic & cultural boundaries;
Demonstrating change agility, applying/adapting skills to changing circumstances & proactively consulting to resolve issues;
Analyzing impacts on global training curriculum, assessing learner needs in respect of them & making recommendations to address them.
Demonstrating a “presence” in the Learning & Education design & content of the training on which they have worked;
Carrying the needs of the practitioners & instructors in their territory;
Developing a greater expertise in PwC Audit methodology, tools & technology & its application to assist in the quality execution of an audit engagement;
Demonstrating knowledge of auditing standards development on a real-time basis & enhanced abilities in Aura & Audit Methodology that can be applied when returning to the practice;
Understanding of process/quality standards in Learning & Education design & development, including evaluations & assessments;
Having insight into adult learning theory, transferrable to ongoing coaching interactions & classroom instruction;
Understanding of how the global network of firms operates;
Understanding/appreciation for how the Global Assurance Quality – Learning & Education group develops training for the broader PwC Network;
Understanding of how territories implement & deliver training, allowing for appreciation of global perspectives;
Demonstrating enhanced communication skills with English proficiency and able to deliver complex messages succinctly with impact;
Responding to the Network regarding curriculum and able to enhance/adapt the curriculum to solution needs & concerns; and,
Using transferable relationship skills & an increased network (including methodology professionals & peers) to leverage relationships with peers in other territories.
