Ngā Kōrero mo tēnei tūranga / About the role

This role sits in our Finance and Operations team and will primarily focus on engagements related to Operations Transformation. A typical consulting engagement with PwC is far greater than supporting a traditional Finance and Operations function – we provide strategic solutions to CEOs, CFOs, COOs and Boards to complex challenges, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of organisations. 

The Finance and Operations team covers a wide variety of engagement types including operational excellence, performance improvement, process improvement, procurement, supply chain and finance transformation. You will have the opportunity to work with both private and public sector clients across industries as diverse as agriculture to banking. Our proven solutions are enabled by continuous digital transformation across people, process, and performance, helping our clients accelerate business benefits. 

We are focussed on enabling client success through true transformation and achieving sustained outcomes that consider ESG impacts.

We are looking to grow our team in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland, Pōneke / Wellington or Ōtautahi / Christchurch.

Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience

As an Analyst or Senior Associate in the Finance and Operations team, our ideal candidate will have:

• 2- 5 years of relevant work experience, ideally including experience working in a professional services or consulting environment.
  
• Ability to support and deliver engagements through to measurable outcomes.
  
• Strong technical competencies and experience/education is required in one or more of the following areas:
  • Operations transformation – Procurement, sourcing strategy, category management, contract management, third party risk management, logistics, inventory, warehouse operations, network efficiency, planning, process improvement, operational excellence, lean ways of working or performance improvement.
    
• Strong technical competencies and experience/education is beneficial in one or more of the following areas:
  • Finance transformation – Finance function, finance strategy, accounting, financial management, finance workforce and capabilities, enterprise performance management, finance technology, or shared services.
    
• Evidence of positive feedback from both clients (if applicable) and colleagues, including the ability to bring diversity of thought and experience to the team.
  
• Strong relationship management skills with the confidence to engage with staff at all levels including Executive teams and Boards.
  
• Ability to work in a highly agile environment and support the delivery of complex engagements. 
  
• Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to tell a story and convey key messages.
