Ngā Kōrero mo tēnei tūranga / About the role:

Based in our Auckland office you will report to our senior Treasury professionals, working alongside a specialised team. You will play a key role within all areas pertaining to analysis associated with our retained client base, financial modelling and completing one-off treasury assignments. This role requires strong quantitative analysis / financial modelling skills, across financial and credit markets, researching financial markets, and undertaking general financial analysis.

Your new role will be varied & fast-paced, where your key duties will include: 

• Analysis of client exposure and financial market risks 
  
• Financial risk modelling of foreign exchange, interest rate, commodity price and credit markets and the impacts these may have on businesses
  
• Assistance with the design, recommendation and implementation of client hedging strategies
  
• Responsibility for monitoring of some client risk exposure positions
  
• Working with and supporting our clients utilise our Treasury Management tool, Treasury Intelligence
  
• Delivering on client requests relating to treasury policy and implementation, financial market insights and hedging strategies      

Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience:

• A relevant Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or similar discipline 
  
• Ideally has 2 – 3 years of experience
  
• Has passion for economics and financial markets
  
• Exposure to the financial markets 
  
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
  
• Ability to fit into a highly focused team of professionals, motivated, and self-managed 
  
• Strong analytical skills, logical reasoning and report writing skills
  
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, well-rounded with an ability to build trusted internal and client relationships
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skill
  
• A well-developed sense of humour and hunger for knowledge will be appreciated!
