Quadrant Strategies Hiring for Accounting Clerk at Washington, DC Full Time

The Bookkeeper (Accounting Clerk) – Accounts Receivable will work with the Staff Accountant to manage our invoicing process. We are looking for someone with extreme attention to detail, accountability, organization, and communication skills who is motivated by mastering tasks, delivering high quality work, and supporting colleagues and clients. Duties:

• Prepare and review weekly invoices in QuickBooks for Quadrant’s clients

• Upload approved invoices into Client portal

• Apply cash receipts to outstanding AR accounts daily

• Update Monday.com boards

• Prepare weekly financial reports

• Maintain prepaid schedules

• Manage and collect overdue accounts

• Research discrepancies and recommend solutions

• Ongoing communication with Staff Accountant

• Daily communication with teams across the company

• Additional financial responsibilities as the above tasks are mastered, which may include cash flow management, reconciliation, additional financial reporting, and more

Requirements:

• 4+ years of accounting experience or certification equivalent

• Intermediate experience with an accounting software (QuickBooks Desktop editions preferred but not required)

• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel

• Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles

• Strong verbal and written communication

• Customer service mindset – Approach all clients and colleagues with the utmost professionalism and eagerness to help

• Highly responsive – Available for quick-turn requests and check-ins throughout the day

• Extreme attention to detail – Triple check everything and deliver work with complete accuracy

• Highly organized – Able to plan ahead and meet all deadlines

• Willingness to learn and be adaptable in a fast paced environment

• High sense of accountability – Hold oneself to a high standard

Ideal Experience:

• Intermediate+ experience with QuickBooks

• Experience with additional financial software including Bill.com, Expensify (or other expense tracking software)

• Experience in billing portals like Ariba, Coupa, etc.

• Experience with project management software and/or CRMs like Monday.com and Salesforce

• Experience preparing simple financial reports and analysis

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
