This role will provide professional support to the Medical Education Manager, to promote a high standard of administration of multi-professional and postgraduate medical and dental education.

We are looking for someone with administrative experience, ideally within an education or learning and development environment, who is able to work both within a busy team and on their own initiative.

You must be able to remain calm, prioritise your own workload, possess excellent communication skills, and have a flexible and pro-active attitude.

You will be responsible for:

• Monitoring the study budgets for all medical and dental staff, ensuring that they remain within the allocated allowances and that robust records of study leave claims are maintained.
• Resolving queries relating to study leave entitlements and study leave budgets.
• Coordinating the Local Academic Board meeting (three times per year) and Local Faculty Group meetings in each specialty, eventually taking over the minute taking requirements for these meetings.
• Organising Junior Doctors’ inductions – five times per year, ensuring that induction policies and procedures meet national requirements.
• Managing and developing the trust intranet site for medical education.
• Dealing with complex statutory and mandatory training queries for medical and dental staff and completing reports as required.
• Coordinating a programme of personal development courses for trust medical staff.
• Organising multi-disciplinary training events for both internal and external delegates, monitoring the budget for these events.
