Queenstown Turkish Kebabs Limited Looking for Cook/Fast Food Cook at Queenstown, Otago Full Time

We are looking for three Cook/Fast Food Cook in our authentic and busy Turkish café/take-away in Queenstown. 

 Requirements: 

• A qualification in cookery is desirable. 
• Experience is Mediterranean and/or Caucasus cuisine is desirable. 
• To be physically fit and eligible to work some night shifts too.  

You will need to work for the below tasks: 

• Prepare and cook traditional Turkish sauces, kebabs, falafels etc.; 
• Season food by using Turkish cooking techniques; 
• Portion food, placing on plates and adding gravies and sauces; 
• Ensure quality of food is always delivered at the highest standard and present to customers in a timely manner; 
• Prepare dietary food to meet the customer’s special needs; 
• Manage frozen and fresh food; 
• Keep the kitchen tidy and clean to meet health and hygiene regulations; 
• Must be able to cook and manage the kitchen independently; 
• Having the ability to design/update the menu is desirable; 
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and keep calm under pressure during  busy seasons; 
• Be dedicated to Food Quality and Control. 

We offer minimum 33 hours work a week, but during busy seasons there might be more hours. Friendly environment and great team to work together, excellent orientation and support will be provided to all new staff. Hourly rate depending on experience and qualification.
