We have a great opportunity for an Know Your Customer Onboarding Analyst to join our Client Integrity Unit. This role will see you completing compliance based tasks, by drawing on your in-depth knowledge of the Anti-money laundering (AML) programme, red flag triggers, and your understanding of how money laundering and financing of terrorist activities work in the system. You’ll join a supportive team environment, and work closely with other teams across the bank, including Compliance, Risk, Products and Legal.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Completion of Customer Due Diligence (CDD) for our new to bank clients and completion of our existing client Ongoing Customer Due Diligence (OCDD) activities and Event Driven Reviews (EDR)
• Assisting the CIU team with the on-boarding and the completion of CDD reviews of complex/high risk customers
• Managing and clearing alerts generated in the AML Transaction Monitoring System
• Obtain accurate and complete data and documents to ensure KYC files are completed in line with latest global and local policies and procedures and in a timely manner.
• Customer experience is a primary focus to ensure that the customer receives a positive and seamless experience.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Previous experience within banking / financial services
• Proven ability to analyse complex structures to determine risk exposure and applicable KYC/AML requirements
• Advance knowledge of regulatory KYC/AML
• Knowledge of the NZ regulatory environment and requirements
• Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail
• Strong Analytical mindset and problem solving skills
• Ability to act in a discrete and confidential manner
• Be a team player with great interpersonal skills
