You are an experienced Cloud Engineer who is skilled in SOE deployments for applications.
You will get to work in one of the largest and most advanced Cloud teams in the country, building state-of-the-art solutions to drive seamless experiences for millions of customers. Contribute to all aspects of the technology products and services we deliver, from technical strategy and design to coding to deployment to operation.
This will initially be a fixed term contract of 3 months, with the view to permanent.
We Are Seeking People Who Are
Passionate about Cloud technology (Preferably AWS)
Able to effectively manage different level of stakeholders within the business
Able to provide guidance and mentor junior members of the squad
Constantly thinking outside the box and breaking boundaries to solve complex problems
We Are Also Interested In Hearing From People Who
Demonstrable experience designing, building Enterprise SOE service and platforms is a must!
Have a solid understanding and hands on experience with Linux
Advise our customers as a cloud technical expert on how best consume, build and run public cloud services and solutions
You will partner with the cloud technical support team to ensure issues encountered during execution is addressed within their appropriate SLAs
Ability to influence senior leaders such as EM/GM level regarding the technology roadmap for Cloud and related technology
Tech Skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;
Experience with designing and implementing security hardening of Operating Systems platforms for ensuring SOEs compliant to Security requirements.
Experience with Vulnerability and Patch Management solutions in relation to Operating Systems and SOEs.
Developing new tools and cloud SOE (AWS, RHEL) service offerings to be integrated across the business
Experience working in a build and execution capacity across AWS Cloud Platform
Midrange and Cloud infrastructure design and operations
Driving automation through understanding processes and implementing improvements
Strong presentation, verbal communication, and written communications skills
Hands-on experience of programming in languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar
Hands-on experience with automating cloud native technologies, deploying applications, and provisioning infrastructure via code
Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices with specific focus on the following concepts: source control, CI/CD, automated testing, logging and monitoring
