Rad AI Looking for Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack at United States Full Time

Why we’re hiring for this role: We’re seeking multiple Senior Software Engineers with full stack (any mix of front end, backend, and database) experience to join our team building the future of radiology. You’ll work on Continuity or a new Rad AI product. Using NLP, Continuity identifies and tracks recommended follow-ups in radiology reports which significantly increases follow-up compliance, helping save patients’ lives. Our new product uses AI to improve radiologists’ efficiency and reduce burnout. This role will work alongside our high-performing cross-functional team of Full Stack Engineers, ML Engineers, and Product Leaders, and various other teams internally and externally to develop this responsive and performant application.

This is what you’ll do:

• Develop on large-scale progressive and single page web applications that streamline user workflows and increase their efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work on a modern Typescript, React front end using technologies including WebSockets, and GraphQL with Relay and features local data storage, networking to multiple backend endpoints, complex user interactions and input methods, and SDK support for client extensions.
• Develop our Python, FastAPI backend services including a REST API, NLP model pipeline service, messaging service
• Build new features that support our rapidly growing number of customers
• Write code that meets our internal standards for security, style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale HIPAA web environment.
• Work with Product Management, UX, Customer Success and other stakeholders to iterate on new features and address defects.
• Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance that have a particular impact across your team.

This is what you’ll need:

• 5+ years of industry fullstack engineering experience with single and multi-tenanted environmentsIn-depth knowledge of TypeScript and React, Python and FastAPI, or equivalent modern languages/frameworks
• Knowledge of relational and document based databases, as well as other large scale data storage paradigms
• Knowledge of modern web architecture and best practices
• Fluency with HTML, CSS, responsive design, and other related web technologies
• Familiarity with cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, browser networking, and browser APIs such as IndexedDB and WebSockets.
• Experience with unit and integration testing
• Experience working on a distributed team and strong version control skills using git
• Experience with performance and optimization problems, particularly at large scale, and a demonstrated ability to diagnose and prevent these problems

This would be nice to have:

• Experience with Typescript and React
• Experience with Python, FastAPI, Starlette, SQLAlchemy
• Experience with GraphQL, especially React Relay and/or Strawberry GraphQL
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience with 3rd-party integrations such as Auth0, Twilio, Amplitude
• Experience working at an early-stage startup
• Experience in a HIPAA-compliant environment, especially with FHIR and HL7
• Experience working on machine learning

$150,000 – $180,000 a year

This is an estimated salary range that is dependent on the candidate and their experience. Not included in this range is an up to 10% annual bonus as well as generous equity options.
