Under the general direction of the Technical Director and immediate direction of the Process Improvement Specialist (PIS), performs those duties directly involving but not limited to the various aspects of medical records data entry. Data Entry Specialist performs designated duties involving data entry, with limited supervision, in a timely manner.

. Requirements:

• Receives and follows directives and instructions from their direct Supervisor to properly perform the position function.
• Assists wherever is needed in a data entry capacity at the discretion of the Process Improvement Specialist, Senior Manager or Technical Director.
• Represents the organization to the community in a positive manner.
• Maintains confidentiality of all classified and sensitive information and records, including patient care information as required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
• Attends and participates in seminars, in-service educational classes, staff meetings and on-the-job training programs as required.
• Performs other related duties within the job classification or organization as assigned by the Process Improvement Specialist, Senior Manager or Technical Director.
• Processing of data for direct care of patients in Outpatient Diagnostic Imaging Facility, not requiring constant supervision of clerical detail.
• Performs all responsibilities effectively with independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required

Experience: 6+ months of experience in medical field required

Data Entry proficiency, ability to type up to 50wpm
