Raines Feldman Littrell LLP is seeking skilled software developers to help develop new and existing projects.

Your duties will primarily revolve around building software by writing code and modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces. You will also be involved in directing system testing and validation procedures, and also working with us on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.

To be successful in this role, you will need extensive knowledge of programming languages and the software development life-cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces.
• Directing system testing and validation procedures.
• Directing software programming and documentation development.
• Consulting with colleagues on project status and proposals.
• Working with clients or departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.
• Analyzing information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modifications of an existing system.
• Preparing reports on programming project specifications, activities, or status.
• Ability to author, understand, and translate business-level acceptance criteria into technical designs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, equivalent experience or related degree
• Knowledge of the software development life-cycle
• Ability to develop unit testing of code components or complete applications.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong diagnostic skills and ability to research, troubleshoot, and logically determine solutions (especially in understanding and streamlining legal processes through software solutions)
• Preferred understanding of the legal industry and its specific software requirements would be a significant advantage.
• Willingness to stay updated with the latest technology trends – specifically projects that may incorporate AI to innovate and enhance legal services.

Competencies:

• Proficiency in the PHP Laravel Framework with Livewire Experience
• Experience/Expertise in Front-End Technologies with a Focus on Vanilla JavaScript and/or jQuery
• Experience with JavaScript and Related Frameworks
• Database Management Skills – specifically MySQL, Postgres, and or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Azure Deployment Experience
• Experience with GitHub
• RESTful API Development
• Web Security Practices
• Testing and Debugging Skills
• Understanding of Agile Methodologies

The salary range for this position is between $100,000-$115,000. These figures are not representative of the full compensation range for this position.
