Rajbir Trading is on the lookout for a developer programmer to join our team. As a developer programmer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our database management systems run in accordance with the user needs and that it operates with optimal reliability, performance, security and integrity. You will be responsible for the development and management of all our software solutions.

Essential position requirements include:

• IT bachelor degree or higher qualification or alternatively at least five years of relevant experience and/or relevant vendor certification
• At least 2 years’ prior experience in programming
• Prior experience supporting IT products and applications

Preferred skills in the following areas:

• .NET Web development, CSS, HTML5
• C#/Java
• MS SQL Server /Oracle
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Website and software application designing, building, and maintaining
• Using scripting or authoring languages, management tools, content creation tools, applications, and digital media
• Conferring with teams to resolve conflicts, prioritise needs, develop content criteria, or choose solutions
• Directing or performing Website updates and assist in analysing, specifying, and developing internet strategies, web-based methodologies, and development plans
• Developing or validating test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types
• Communicating with network specialists regarding web-related issues, such as security and hosting websites, to control and enforce Internet and web server security, space allocation, user access, business continuity, website backup and disaster recovery planning
• Identifying problems uncovered by customer feedback and testing and correcting or referring problems to appropriate personnel for correction
• Evaluating code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems such as image files, audio files and scripting languages
• Researching, consulting, analysing and evaluating software needs
• Identifying technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and associated processes, procedures and methods
• Software Design and Development, Testing, debugging, diagnosing and correcting errors in software programming language within established testing protocols, guidelines and quality standards to ensure programs and applications perform to specification
• Writing, updating and maintaining technical program, end user documentation and operational procedures
• Writing and maintaining program code to meet system requirements, system designs and technical specifications in accordance with quality accredited standards
• Provide advice, guidance and expertise in developing proposals and strategies for software design activities such as financial evaluation and costing for recommending software upgrades
• Assisting internal teams with enquiries and support issues as well as supporting end-users.

Salary: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
