Randstad Hiring for Junior SQL Developer Job at Sydney, Australia Full Time

My client is a large Government Agency based in Sydney’s north and currently has an immediate requirement for a Junior SQL Developer to come on board and play a key role in a number of organisation wide BI initiatives they are currently undertaking.

The successful incumbent will be an enthusiastic self starter withn excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong team playing abilities and a pragmatic approach to problem solving.

To be consdidered for this role you will need to meet the below accountabilities:

• Capture, define and document business processes; development of database design; database implementation and enhancement; development SQL/Stored Procedures/Views etc
• Improvement of the in-house OneSource SQL Server database architecture to enhance the reporting capabilities and streamline our BAU/Ad-hoc queries.
• Work with Oracle reports and files during the ETL process to allow a more streamlined exception driven process where all issues are validated and corrected where applicable, using stored procedures.
• Development of queries that create tables to link to Report Writers/Dashboards such as Power BI or Oracle Business Intelligence should it be required in the future.
• Support key project areas including Supplier Reporting to include, process automation; Exceptions flagging/troubleshooting and data integrity overview.
• Assist in making OneSource the sole procurement database to include the movement of the Contract Activity Tracker & Project Status Reporting from it’s legacy database to SQL Server.
• Manage the Data Analyst role and ensure the Developers BAU activities can be managed by the Data Analyst during any absences
