An Electrical Engineer is needed for a world class utility company in the Tulsa, OK area. This position designs and models equipment for use in electrical transmission systems and/or power generation. Applies principles and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals.

salary: $31.36 – 42.15 per hour

work hours: 8am to 5pm

education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

• Perform power flow, short circuit, and facility studies in the SPP area.

• Write reports to explain study results.

• Develop holistic solutions to interconnect customers, correct criteria violations, and address rehab needs.

• Present projects to internal engineering groups and support them throughout project development.

• PSS/E Power Flow and APEN software experience is preferred, but not required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Has typically acquired 2 or more years of related engineering experience along with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET; Individuals with a Master’s or Doctorate degree in engineering may be considered for entry into the organization at this level.

• ABET – Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.

• Acceptable alternatives are (1) a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (non-ABET), plus a Professional Engineers (PE) license in any state of the U.S. or (2) a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master’s degree in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelors program.
